U.S. trial data for the AstraZeneca Covid - 19 Vaccine shows 79% effective AstraZeneca said a US study was conducted on its COVID-19 vaccine and the advanced trial data shows it is 79% effective. Currently, in various areas of the world, 13 Covid-19 vaccines have been authorized for use. Even though AstraZeneca's vaccine has been authorized in more than 50 countries, it has not yet been given the authorization to be used on public in the U.S. The U.S. study results were announced on March 22 and it comprised 30,000 volunteers, 20,000 of whom were given the vaccine while the rest got dummy shots. The Vaccine shots were given to the people of all age group as a trial, whether it was a young age person or old.
